Buses and ferries: one network
MTCC runs public buses and ferries in the Greater Malé area under the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) brand. Routes, timetables and tickets are in the RTL app and website, and card payments are accepted.
Malé, the airport island and Hulhumalé are joined by road over the Sinamalé Bridge, so buses run between them. Vilimalé is reached by ferry from Malé.
Taxis
Taxis are easy to find in Malé and Hulhumalé, and you can call or book through taxi apps and centres. Agree the fare before longer trips.
Tips
- Check the RTL app for the current fares and last departures; we don't list fares here because they change.
- Malé is small and walkable. Many errands are faster on foot than by taxi at rush hour.
